Old Skool Cafe's logo
Old Skool Cafe is a violence prevention program that provides job training, employment and a second chance at life by way of a 1920’s speakeasy, jazz restaurant, run by at-risk, formerly incarcerated and foster care youth ages 16-22.
Experience comfort food from around the world. We take family recipes that our youth have grown up with and transform them into dishes that will soothe your hunger and satisfy your soul.
Old Skool Cafe has live jazz Wednesday-Saturday. In addition to being one of San Francisco’s best spots for up-and-coming jazz and incredible soul food, Old Skool Cafe is a non-profit organization. Every dollar spent at Old Skool Cafe goes right back into our workforce development program benefitting at-risk youth.

Old Skool Cafe Membership

We have two levels of membership: at $75 and $125. Both are billed on a monthly basis. As a member, you will enjoy:

A house account

You will receive credits every month.
Credits can be used towards any purchase at Old Skool Cafe. Having a house account with us means your bill can be handled easily and elegantly. For example, you can walk in and out freely, without needing to take out a credit card after your meal. (You will still receive an email receipt and can request a paper receipt should you choose).
Members at the $75 level will receive $90 in credits each month — $15 bonus credits.
Members at the $125 level will receive $180 in credits each month — $55 bonus credits!

Youth and chef-curated tasting menus

You can also try our youth or chef-curated tasting menus. Just ask us — we just need a few days' of advanced notice to prepare this for you.

Specialty cocktails

A complimentary specialty cocktail for you as a member every time you dine in with us.

How it works

How does the monthly dining credit work?
As a member, you will receive a certain amount of dining credits at Old Skool Cafe each month. The amount of credits depends on your membership level. These credits will be tracked through a personal "house account" that we manage on your behalf.
At the end of your meal, you have the option to pay the bill using the credits in your house account. If your meal happens to cost more than the amount of credits you have remaining, the difference will be charged to your payment method on file automatically, without you needing to take out a card. Your house account can be used to handle any payments with us effortlessly and elegantly.
Any credits you do not use will be rolled over as long as you hold an active membership.
What happens if I won't be in town for a bit?
Not a problem. You can skip a month of membership at any time. This will put a one-month pause on the membership fee and you won't get the dining credits for that month, but your membership will still be active.
Any unused credits will be rolled over, so even if you aren't able to join us for one month, you can use all the credits that you have saved up for a bigger night in a future month!
How can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time by visiting the My Membership section of your Member Portal. If you choose to cancel your membership, you will still have access to member benefits and your house account until the end of the current billing period. Please plan to use any remaining credits during this time to make sure you get the most out of your membership.
